Smoke is Poison
In September 2006 Dare Films was asked to make a series of Anti-smoking commercials for Cancer Research/Dept. of Health. Working with the hugely successful Ogilvy agency, we devised a series of "vox pops" commercials talking to chemists and other professionals to highlight the number of cancer-causing chemicals in cigarette smoke. The results were illuminating and the adverts have subsequently won various awards. One of the adverts featuring the chemical Polonium 210 was also banned by the government. The adverts have won a Bronze at the British Television Advertising Awards and the "Smoke is Poison" campaign is in 2007 D&AD book.
